Welcome to the 2024 NRECA Legislative Conference. Every year, NRECA welcomes co-op grassroots advocates to Washington, D.C. Directors, managers, and employees of member-owned electric cooperatives come from across America to spend time on Capitol Hill talking to their congressional delegations and congressional staff about legislative issues affecting electric cooperatives and their member-owners.

New ERA and PACE Funding Status – Innovation of Rural Co-ops Unleashed
The New ERA and PACE funding in the Inflation Reduction Act brought about a once in a lifetime opportunity to rural electric co-ops doorstep. In return Co-ops answered with an overwhelming array of innovative projects. Administrator Berke gives an update on the status of the application process and the pure breadth of innovative projects that span the entire country. This moderated panel will offer an opportunity for Administrator Berke to peel the curtain back on the process, decisions made, and the lessons learned in standing up entirely new funding programs. It will also offer an opportunity for attendees to offer their insight into applying for the funding.
